World's Largest Luxury Easter Egg Hunt

Russian jeweler Faberge is hosting the world’s largest Easter Egg hunt beginning February 21st in London. 200 two-and-a-half feet tall eggs made of fiberglass will be spread throughout the city, many of which were designed by various artists and jewelers including Vivienne Westwood, Giles Deacon, Diane von Furstenburg and Zandra Rhodes; members of the public are encouraged to find the eggs before the April 8th (Easter) deadline.

At the end of the hunt the eggs will be auctioned off with the proceeds going to two charities: Action for Children and Elephant Family.

The Fabergé Big Egg Hunt event hopes to raise $3,089,318.

4th Islands of Naples Festival

A Symphony to Savour in a Sea of Wonders

Spring is the ideal time to discover the enchanting Islands of Naples. And from 21 to 27 May 2012, Capri, Ischia and Procida will host the fourth edition of the "Islands of Naples: a sea of wonders" Festival, dedicated to exploration of music, food and wine.

Musical shows and special "Menus in concert", proposed by restaurants on the islands with delicious local products, will be the heart of the Festival, a delight to savour in a sea of wonders. "Menus in concert", featuring recipes created by talented local chefs to honour famous singers and songs, will be available in enchanting settings of some of the most renowned restaurants in the three islands.

"Arias of Naples" is the title of the musical show that will accompany the event. The musical is a collection of some of the most famous Neapolitan songs written in the shadow of Vesuvius, famed for their interpretations by Enrico Caruso, Luciano Pavarotti and Andrea Bocelli. The shows will be held on 24 May in Procida, in the magical setting of the Terra Murata, and on 26 May in Ischia in the Castello Aragonese.

The 66th Prague Spring International Music Festival 12/5-4/6/2011

The Prague Spring will celebrate 2011, the Year of Mahler, in grand style. The coming season of the Festival promises to be a show of some of the best orchestras in the world and Mahlers unperformable Symphony of a Thousand will also be performed.

After years of negotiations the Prague Spring has finally managed to get the Berliner Philharmoniker to appear at the Festival. They are coming with their artistic director and principal conductor Sir Simon Rattle. The San Francisco Symphony, a regular guest of the Festival, is also returning to the Festival. With Michael Tilson Thomas they will perform on two evenings. Another orchestra is coming our way from overseas as well, the New York Philharmonic, with the violinist Lisa Batiashvili, who was originally scheduled to perform at the 2007 Prague Spring.
